We are gearing up for a new year in women's ministry and we are excited! We can't wait to share what's coming up at our Kickoff Meeting / Ice Cream Social on Friday, August 26th at 7 PM. There is no charge for this event because we want as many ladies to come out as possible. Childcare will be provided. Please sign up at Grand Central so we can have enough ice cream for everyone.

Welcome!
Welcome to our blog!
Women of Purpose is the women's ministry of Eastern Assembly of God in Dundalk, MD.
Our purpose is to
- Encourage meaningful relationship with God and with each other
- Equip women to reach their families and communities for Christ; and
- Empower women to fulfill their God-given purpose.
We do this by meeting monthly on the second Tuesday of each month at 7 PM. Childcare is provided. We plan our meetings/events to encourage fellowship and spiritual growth, while still having a great time.
For those of you who might not have attended a WoP event, this is what we did this year:
- In February, we held a Fashion Show and DressBarn allowed us to borrow clothes. We had a few of our ladies model the outfits as we discussed what type of clothing is best for different body types.
- In March, we had a "Go Green" event and discussed how God is into 'recycling' lives and using them for His glory.
- In April, we had a "When Life Hands You Lemons" event and heard testimonies from several ladies about God's faithfulness in difficult times.
- In May, we held an All Ladies Brunch on Mother's Day weekend to celebrate the ladies in our lives and had a special speaker, Liz Griswold, who shared her heart and made us all laugh.
- In June, we had a Pamper Night, and several ladies came out to pamper themselves with haircuts, massages, manicures/pedicures, some pizza and fellowship.
Due to vacations and hectic summer schedules, we don't schedule meetings for July and August. We have a big kickoff event towards the end of the summer in late August or September of each year.
